Puppy Preschool
Once your puppy has all his/her vaccinations, including rabies (which is typically at 16 weeks) he/she can join puppy class; we try to make it as safe as possible for the pups to keep them healthy.
Puppy class for the 4 - 8-month-olds is held on Sundays at 1:00 pm and includes socialization, obedience skills and discussion of any behavioral issues you may be experiencing with your pup (common behaviors are nipping, jumping up ​
and leash skills). Obedience includes techniques to stop your pup from jumping on people, nipping, leash skills, sit-stay, down-stay, leave it, and recall.

We also have some agility equipment that is appropriate for puppies, which is fun and helps to teach confidence. We also teach you about canine body language so you can keep your pup safe throughout his/her life.
For those who are interested in the *S.T.A.R. Puppy certification from the American Kennel Club, we offer this during the puppy class. For a list of tested skills see: https://www.akc.org/products-services/training-programs/canine-good-citizen/akc-star-puppy *The testing is free, and AKC charges for the certificate.
